!שנה טובה

happy roshashana to all! or !שנה טובה (shana tova!)

it's the jewish new year starting next week, and also the start of the holiday season in israel. every few years, they will have holiday seasons such as these. this year's pretty extreme. in the next 4 weeks, they have at least 2 days of holidays every week! and so, i've given myself a break from israel as well since it doesnt really make much sense to be spending half my time not having people to work with! on yom kipur, it's even illegal (i think) to drive on israeli roads! so it doesnt sound like much fun to be there at this time.. now to think of it, maybe i shld have just gone to israel, and spent those long weekends/holidays visiting egypt or jordan!

anyway...

i was super excited yesterday cos it felt a little festive (and i was leaving for US!) with people bringing food, wishing each other happy new year, and them feeling happy and light that the holiday is coming! :) and i'm feeling happy to be back in the US, will have a chance to spend more time with my friends here :) looking forward to ktv!!
