i went to hongkong for a 4day-3night trip some 2 months back! :) it was *very embarrassingly* my first time to hk! i've been to the most exotic places in my last 7 years but i never stepped foot on hk (okay i did, but for transit purposes only lah!)! the city that produces great dramas and great food and not forgetting the fact that it is my 小老公's (梁朝伟) hometown! haha i also have a group of (real) relatives living there and my entire family's been to hk except for me until now that is! i must say that it met all my expectations and more! :) 买东西吃东西买东西吃东西买东西吃东西！
it was my first trip overseas with my friends from singapore! haha i've travelled the world with peeps i got to noe in michigan and with peeps at work so this was definitely a cool experience especially since my companions were really cool people! introducing pearl and youli!! :)

the trip started with 杨枝甘露 as shown in the picture above! :) the next stop was dimsum!! :) haha no pictures on that cos i was busy eating and catching up (read: gossiping) with gabriel!! he's studying theatre, more specifically theatre lighting at 香港演艺学院! haha i must say that his canto not bad... actually my canto was not that bad then too! i was trying to brush up my canto skills by watching 家好月圆... my little bit of canto saved us some time on the trip! hahaha :) after lunch, he took us to his school and we did a little tour of the place! it's pretty cool to see my friend's off-mainstream dream coming true and it ignited that little theatre fire in me the whole time i was there! don't tell gabriel this, but i actually quite respect and 佩服 him for knowing and chasing his dreams.. if he noes he'll be super yaya-papaya lah! haha :) wish i knew what i was chasing after.. i guess my dream does not really lie in a specific hobby... oh wait! maybe that can be considered a hobby! haha i guess i do know what i'm chasing after afterall hee :)
okay back to hongkong! :) from there, we left gabriel and took a tram to the times square area! :)

and our shopping spree begun! actually i don't think we bought anything that day... or did we? oh yes! pearl bought herself a lip balm! :) and we bought ourselves some coffee! :) we also had our eye on these really thin and pretty umbrellas from this really expensive shop to gift the girls. we decided that we will find replicas at 女人街！we mainly window shopped till dinner time.. the last stop before dinner was this shoe shop that pearl managed to find comfortable shoes that fit her small little feet! :) haha but cos we were late le so we KIVed it and decided we'll return tmr! :)

oh and we also concluded that the only way to keep youli from sucking our energy, and i say this with lots of love youli! is to make her hungry! in the first pic, we see youli trying to keep up the hyperness and energy but we can definitely see tiredness in her eyes (i'm pretending to be REALLY tired haha).. in the second pic youli's given up pretending and the third pic we see her 原形毕露! her hyperness returned not after sitting down and resting, but after we had our dinner!! :)
so we met gabriel again for dinner! :) this time he took us to a shio-ba shop but they din have shio-ba left!! we were too late haha... so we had charsiew and other 腊味s instead.. then we walked by this shop selling really really really cute baby socks and accessories! we decided that since we'll be meeting yuanbin gorgor and fiona jiejie tomorrow for lunch, there's no way they'll let us pay, so we better buy them something! :) so we got 3 pairs of cutsie socks!! hahaha please take note that if i have kids, i demand you get those socks for them as well! :) upon coming out of the shop, pearl (or was it gab) realized that the shop's name is called fiona's prince! how apt!! :) we ended the night with more 杨枝甘露 at 满记! i think the 杨枝甘露 at both places are pretty similar, but the vote is definitely for 满记's mango mochis over 许留山's!
and that was day one! we were so tired by the time we got back to the hotel since we all slept very late the night before (about 1.30am) and woke up really early to catch our flight (4am) and dashed through hongkong the whole day!! :)
haha stay tuned for day 2-4... hopefully this doesn't end up like the netherlands adventure.. maybe i should try to remember what happened in holland and write about it too! :) heheh :)
