da bed

decided to head down to ikea straight after work to get my bed.. surprisingly, the highway wasnt as jammed as it thought i would be =) happiness!

after walking around ikea for about one hour and gathering all the barang barang (2 stools, one bed including frame mattress and base, shoe rack, colander and 2 pot holders) i bought, i went to *polar and tried stuffing everything in. but polar is kinda small and her back seat cannot be lowered, so it was impossible to fit the bed in! i tried to put the bed in from different angles, but it just din work out. was on the fone with david trying to figure out whether i should open up the box and put the individual pieces in seperately or just simply return it, and this couple who was parked behind me came to their truck. seeing how much difficulty i was having trying to put my bed in the car, the husband offered to help me bring my bed back in their truck! =) thank you so much!

and so i managed to get the bed back without having to pay for shipping ($75), though i gave the guy $20 for "gas money". so now after about 5 hours of work, i managed to set up my stools, shoe rack, tv stand and bed! =) yay!

was watching tv while working.. there's this very cool show called man vs wild on discovery channel! it's basically a show about this guy who would be thrown into random situations (e.g. parachute down into some costa rican rainforest) in different episodes and he will have to find his way out to civilization within x days. he's kinda teaching people how to survive in the wild and all.. he's really very zai! he makes fire using wood he picked up from the ground! my description will probably not do him any justice, but do watch it if you happen to come across it =)

bo passed away yesterday. heart attack. how timely, tmr's the biggest game of the year..

still, go blue michigan! we are the real champions!

*polar's my car's name. why polar? i made david choose a name for her, he thought i said polar when i said toyota corolla. and so it was decided as that.
