i want to go to narnia too! not becos i want to meet aslan, but because i want to eat the fruits that apparently make the fruits here tasteless and dry, and because i want to be able to run as fast as the unicorn, and because in narnia, all my worlds will be connected by land..
i'm cheering up :) maybe it's because i'm sleeping more, maybe it's because it's coming to the end of my stay here :)
the decision was made yesterday that i'm going to go back to singapore.. i really want to meet you pearl, and watch broadway shows together, skip down the streets in new york together, sail by the falls with u, spend some time with eesin and get to know him better... and i also really want to visit you wanting jiejie, gossip through the nights, eat, sing, shop in toronto! but as good as all that may sound, the logistics looked too daunting, so the plan was compromised... sorry dears!!
i have half a mind to extract my wisdom teeth when i go home.. not because they are aching, it's simply because they are irritating! want to get rid of them once and for all! but that would mean that my trip home will be wasted.. i'll be sleeping all day for 2-3 days from the trauma of extracting my teeth and painkillers, and i'll not get to eat anything!! which is bad because i'm really not eating well in israel..
uncle anthony, ur msg brightened up my day, and everytime i see it i'll be reminded not to be unhappy :) thank you!
kenneth, congrats on your wedding!! if i were in narnia, i would have run back from israel to attend it! heh :)
this post is titled narnia and most of it has nothing to do with it.. so i shall try to make it a little more relevant by starting and ending with narnia. i just finished reading the books last night :) i liked the stories, liked the writing, but somehow i don't feel very comfortable.. i think it's because of the unexplainable magic that comes with narnia, and lewis usually just brushes these details off in the book saying it will take 10 pages to explain or that i have to experience it myself (indescribable). this makes it difficult for puny brained me to imagine! maybe i have to read it a second time to fully appreciate it :) but all in all, a good read :) not like cannot-put-down-the-book-forget-to-go-to-sleep kind of good, but stay-awake-till-eyes-almost-shut-then-cannot-take-it-decide-to-go-to-sleep good :)
