lesson learnt: we probably will not get mumps for life

have been suffering from a pain in my left cheek, or rather left jaw. it hurt when i opened my mouth too big or chewed too hard.. the pain went all the way up to my ear!

i panicked! i thought i had mumps, especially after david told me that my cheek swelled and i thought that my symptoms kinda coincided with the ones i found online!

guys beware! about 2-3 out of every 10 adolescent or adult men who have mumps may experience painful swelling of the testicles. but lucky for you, sterility rarely occurs. haha! david han was laughing uncontrollably when i told him about this and warned him to be careful! he thought i was ridiculous! which apparently i was, cos the doctor told me that according to her experience, after our 2 MMR shots, we are probably immune to measles mumps and rubella for life!

so it turned out that i was just scaring myself. but the syndrome i was getting had a long big name! Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome or TMJ for short.

or to summarise, i strained my jaw muscle somehow.. talking too much mabbe?
